Who is responsible for your data?

The data controller is Christine Luu, publisher of LearnFrenchShortcut (learnfrenchshortcut.com). You can contact me at any time at [email protected].

What data I collect

When you request the free guide, I only collect:

I do not store your IP address, and I don't ask for any other information.

Why I collect it

Legal basis

The processing is based on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR), given by ticking the box on the form. You can withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before you withdrew it.

Where your data is stored

This website and its database are hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. (Cloudflare Pages and Cloudflare D1). Cloudflare may process data outside the European Union, including in the United States; such transfers are covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and/or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

To protect the form from spam and bots, I use Cloudflare Turnstile. When you load the form, Turnstile processes technical information (such as your IP address and browser characteristics) only to check that you are a human. It is not used for advertising and I do not receive this information.

My emails, including the one containing your guide, are sent through Kit (Kit, Inc., United States), which stores your email address on my behalf, in the United States, under its privacy policy and data processing terms.

How long I keep it

Your data is kept until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete it. After that, it is permanently deleted.

Who has access to it

Only me, plus the service providers listed above, who process it only on my behalf. I never sell, rent or share your data with anyone for their own marketing purposes.

Cookies and tracking

This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no trackers. No advertising or tracking tool is installed.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

To exercise any of these rights, simply email me at [email protected]. I will reply within one month. Every email I send you also lets you unsubscribe.

If you believe your rights are not respected, you can lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (cnil.fr), or with the authority of your country.

Changes

I may update this policy. The date at the top of the page shows the latest version.
